Inc. magazine has ranked the Armando Montelongo Companies No. 19 on its annual list of the country’s fastest-growing private companies.
The Inc. 500 list also ranked the company as the nation’s fastest-growing in the field of education.
Founded by Armando Montelongo in 2006, the company’s revenues grew by 8,161 percent from 2007-10. Employment grew from four to 125 in that time.
This is the first time the Armando Montelongo Companies have appeared on the list, which has been produced for the last 30 years. Companies including Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Zipcar, Clif Bar, Vizio and Oracle gained early exposure on the magazine’s list.
Armando Montelongo is hitting the big time, Texas style. In just 5 years, he has turned his small family business in San Antonio into a major real estate investment firm flipping 200 houses a year. How does he do it? Hard work, natural business savvy and a success-minded, philosophical approach to life. He is a true believer in the power of positive thinking: big dreams mean big profits. He shares his drive for success with his wife, Veronica. But it’s not all business for the Montelongos, playing practical jokes is a favorite family past time - they never miss an opportunity for laughs.
